On August 6th 1945, an American B-29 Bomber dropped the worlds first Atomic bomb (Nuclear bomb) in the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The radius of the blast covered 90 percent of the city and it killed over 80,000 people, tens of thousands more died later with radiation poising. In August 9th 1945, exactly three days later another B-29 dropped another Atomic bomb on a Japanese city called Nagasaki, killing around 40,000 people. Japans emperor then announced his country's unconditional surrender in World War II in a radio broadcast on August 15th, in his speech he made he also mentioned the devastating power of a new and most cruel bomb.
